Terms of Service

The agreement between your business and ours. Short, and written to be read.

AI Receptionist, a product of Affordable Leads Generation · Nova Scotia, Canada · Last updated August 23, 2026.

The service

AI Receptionist answers phone calls for your business using an AI voice agent you configure and approve. It captures leads, takes messages, and books appointments based on the script and details you provide.

It's an AI — treat it like a capable assistant, not a lawyer

The agent only works from the script and details you approve, and is built to take a message rather than guess. Even so, AI can mishear or misphrase. Every call is transcribed so you can verify what was said. You're responsible for reviewing your script and keeping your prices, hours and services accurate.

Building and testing is free

Creating an account, building your agent, and test-calling it in your browser costs nothing. Paid plans apply when your agent goes live on a phone line. Plans are month-to-month; cancel anytime and billing stops at the end of the period. Each plan includes a number of answered calls per billing period; a call counts as one call for up to ten minutes. Talk time beyond ten minutes on a call, and the talk time of calls beyond the included number, is charged at CAD $0.18 per minute, rounded to the nearest minute per period, and added to your next invoice. Calls under fifteen seconds, spam, and test calls placed from your dashboard are not counted. During our founder period, invoicing is arranged directly.

No refunds: because you can build and test the service completely free before ever paying, fees for a billing period that has started are not refunded. Cancelling stops all future billing.

Your data, and where the service runs

Your call recordings, transcripts and leads are yours. We use them to run the service for you, and we do not sell them, use them for advertising, or share them with other businesses on the platform. The service runs partly outside Canada — mainly in the United States — and we set out exactly which parts, and under whose law they sit, on our Security page. The Privacy Policy forms part of these terms.

Suppliers. We describe our infrastructure and AI suppliers by function rather than by name on our public pages. If you need them identified for a security review, procurement or a privacy impact assessment, email support@affordableleadsgeneration.ca and we'll send you the current sub-processor list.

Call recording is your responsibility to disclose

Calls to your AI line are recorded and transcribed. You control the greeting, and we recommend it disclose recording. Meeting the call-recording and consent rules that apply to your business and province is your responsibility — we'll help you word it.

Fair use

Don't use the service to mislead callers, impersonate other businesses, break call-recording or telemarketing laws, or handle emergency-service calls (the agent is not a 911 answering point). We can suspend accounts that do.

Liability

We run the service with care, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted operation or that the agent never makes a mistake. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the month the issue occurred.
